Be Beautiful and Kinokuniya Bookstores Present A Special Autograph Session
With Yaoi Artist Youka Nitta

New York, NY (January 23, 2005) - Be Beautiful, North America's leading yaoi publisher, and Kinokuniya, North America's most respected Japanese bookstores, are proud to give yaoi fans a chance to meet yaoi superstar Youka Nitta in a special autograph signing at 4 PM on Friday, February 24, 2006 at Kinokuniya’s Rockefeller Center Store.  

Yaoi is a genre of romance written by women, for women featuring deeply emotional relationships between impossibly beautiful men. While the film Brokeback Mountain is only now creating awareness of yaoi in North America, Ms. Youka Nitta is acclaimed around the world with her most prolific work, Embracing Love (Haru wo Daieita) which established her name in Japan as well as overseas.  Ms. Nitta's stunningly dramatic vision, calculated and elaborate tales, and sublimely gorgeous rendering of the human body all build to create a romantic tension throughout her works that is devoured by fans.  

Ms. Nitta is one of Be Beautiful's headlining authors, the book imprint currently publishing her Embracing Love and set to print her Sound of My Voice (Boku No Koe) later in 2006.  

Kinokunya's Rockefeller Center Store is located at 10 West 49th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues) in midtown Manhattan and is the New York branch of one of Japan's largest and most renowned book retailer chains.  Kinokuniya will have a variety of Ms. Nitta's works available for sale and signing including Be Beautiful's English language translations and original Japanese publications imported specially for this event.
