Full Schedule Of Events Revealed

New York, NY (February 13, 2006) - Be Beautiful, North America's leading yaoi publisher, today announced its complete New York Comic-Con schedule. The first New York Comic-Con will be held February 24-26, 2006 in New York City and Be Beautiful will be there all three days with a selection of guests, panels, autograph sessions, and show specials.

The scheduled events include:

Brokeback Manga Panel. Saturday, February 25, 6-7 PM. Yaoi is a genre of romance featuring relationships between impossibly beautiful men that is written by women for women. While a cult phenomenon for years, with the release of the motion picture Brokeback Mountain, yaoi has now started to gain mainstream North American attention. Join Be Beautiful Publisher Masumi Homma O'Donnell and Embracing Love author Youka Nitta in a discussion about the past, present, and future of yaoi in both North America and Japan. Rooms 1E12 and 1E13. All attendees must be at least 18 and have photo identification.

Be Beautiful Manga Panel. Saturday, February 25, 7-8 PM. Be Beautiful Publisher Masumi Homma O'Donnell discusses Be Beautiful's history, plans for 2006, and even reveals a new acquisition - or three. During the panel, she'll be joined by Be Beautiful's Marketing Supervisor Peter Tatara, who'll prove that yaoi's not just for women. Rooms 1E12 and 1E13. All attendees must be at least 18 and have photo identification.

Youka Nitta Autograph Signing I. Saturday, February 25, 8-9 PM. Following the Be Beautiful panel, acclaimed Embracing Love author Youka Nitta will be answering questions, posing for pictures, and - of course - signing copies of her books. Rooms 1E12 and 1E13.

Youka Nitta Autograph Signing II. Sunday, February 26, 1-2 PM. If you miss her first signing, Be Beautiful's Youka Nitta will be back to autograph more copies of her books and make yaoi fans' dreams come true. Exhibition Hall Booth 105.

Be Beautiful Booth. Friday-Sunday, February 24-26, All Day. Visit Be Beautiful 's booth any time throughout Comic-Con to meet the women (and men) behind North America's first and best yaoi line. Be Beautiful will be offering our entire catalog including the debut of Kizuna: Kazuma Kodaka Signature Edition DVD - including an English dub for the first time - as well as anime like Descendants of Darkness at special show prices. While Be Beautiful's staff will be at Comic-Con for the whole show, there's no telling how long until our books and DVDs are sold out. Come by early and often. Exhibition Hall Booth 105.
